Oklahoma Sooners Football Columbia Sport reviews
Not one, not two, but 5?! Thats just too much!
I attended the Key Arena in Seattle in July of 2008 to see the Oklahoma Sooners Football, and it is a memory from my high school years that will always stay with me. They not only opened with some great bands (Local Supergrass, then Minus the Bear) but they put on a fantastic performance. They played a nearly two-hour set, encompassing their entire career. They even performed "Floaty" from their debut album and a smaller 5-song acoustic set on a round stage featuring favorites from "Skin and Bones." After the singing and moshing were over, everyone anticipated a 3-song encore as per tradition. However, a video of the guys backstage sparked a debate and cheers that resulted in a decision for a 5-song encore! They pulled out all the stops with Everlong, Times Like These, Baker Street, Aurora, and finally, Best of You. I have never spent 3 and a half hours standing on my feet, belting out every word, and leaving with such high energy. If you have the opportunity, go see them. Whether you like them or not, you will not be disappointed. I am definitely going again as soon as I can!
